Augustine J. Ortiz "Tino" "Doc", 67, passed away March 11, 2000, at his home in San Diego, CA. He was born in Kansas, and was self employed as a barber, in the Hammond area. Survived by mother, Petra Ortiz; brothers, Rev. Michael G. Ortiz, Roman (Vikki) Ortiz, Eddie (Hilda) Ortiz, Mike (Marcella) Ortiz, Anthony (Barb) Ortiz, Louie (Mary) Ortiz, Tom (Terri) Ortiz, and Isaac (Virg) Ortiz; sisters Lucy (Salvador) Sendejas, Juanita (Vidal) Sendejas, Mary (Tony) Lopez and Dee Mauricia. Preceded in death by his father and one brother. Services will be held at El Camino Memorial Park, San Diego, CA. on Wednesday, with visitation Tuesday evening 6 to 9 p.m. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served in the U.S. Navy.
