Winning a scholarship at an art competition, David attended the Rhode Island School of Design and in 1939, he created a mural that hung at the New York World’s Fair. An employee of Bantam Books, David proved to be a great talent in the field of promotion. He began his career in Hollywood in 1960 and held positions with Columbia, Warner Bros., and 20th Century Fox. Credited with the discovery of Raquel Welch, David also played a significant in the careers of Burt Reynolds and James Coburn. Upon retirement, David instructed for the Peter Stark Producing Program at the University of Southern California while developing screenplays for Touchstone Pictures. David died from congestive heart failure. Actor in one film, producer of seven films.
