41 years preceded in death by her beloved husband, Orlando, she referred to herself as a married woman now living alone. The loss of her youngest son, Thomas was too much to bear but she carried on.
A long and fruitful life she led. An only child to Marcella and Evard Osterberg, she longed for more siblings so she created her own family tribe when she became the wife of Orlando (Jr), a Navy Captain Chaplain.
Mother of five children - Orlando III, David J., Timothy E., Thomas P. and Marcella L. Grandmother to 13 and Great Grandmother to 20 (with at least two more on the way). A woman of great faith, a homemaker and cook extraordinaire, an accomplished singer, a Minister's wife, a business woman, a volunteer, a survivor.
A woman who was truly loved by all she touched. In her own words: "Languish in the truth. Keep abreast of the news. Read and study and temper it all with a lifetime of experience. All things turn out for the good. Trust God. Keep a sense of humor. And it doesn't hurt to be slightly irreverent from time to time, either!" Momma Marcy is cherished and will be missed.
A special Thank You to the awesome caregivers at Golden Living Hillcrest of Wayzata and Methodist Hospice. Memorial Service and Celebration at Peace Lutheran Church 3695 County Rd 101 No., Plymouth on Mon., May 21st at 11:00 am.
