John H. was a contrator and was part of CONNOR BROS. CONTRACTORS FOR PUBLIC WORKS. He passed away Christmas Eve, 1895 when my grandfather was just seven years old.

FUNERAL OF JOHN H. CONNOR
The funeral of John H. Connor of 1397 State Street was largely attended from St. Francis' Church this morning. Father Mulholland was celebrant of the mass; Father Shanley deacon, Father O'Connor sub deacon and Father Russell master of ceremonies. The interment was in St. Bernard's Cemetery. The bearers were Daniel Kinsella, William Carter, B. McDermott, Richard Coonan, Cornelius Healy, John Richardson. It was one of the largest funerals in Fair Haven in a long time.
