John Howe, Jr. is my third Great Grandfather. His daughter, Sarah Minns Howe (second Great Grandmother) married John Edward Hosterman (second Great Grandfather).

Oldest son of John and Martha (Minns) Howe. His father was a Loyalist printer during the American Revolution. The family moved to Halifax in 1780 where his father served as the King's Printer and Postmaster of Halifax. After his father retired John Howe, Jr. was appointed to the same two positions in 1818.

John Howe, Jr. married Henrietta Hians 16 Oct 1808 in Halifax. She was the daughter of Capel and Catherine (Ortt) Hians.
