Brigadier General US Army. Served as an embarkation officer in Boston and San Francisco during WWII. After the War he served in Japan and then Korea. As a transportation officer, he helped plan the invasion of Inchon. Later, Allen became Director of Transportation for the US Army. During his career he was recognized with the Distinguished Service Medal, two Legions of Merit, two Bronze Stars and an Army Commendation Medal.
