Lindell Virginia Oates Dove, 79, of Winchester, Virginia, died Wednesday,
June 29, 2005, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Dove was born on May 25, 1926 the daughter of the late James Wesley
and Eva Mae Oates. Mrs. Dove was a Clinical Pathologist at National Cancer
Institute in Bethesda, Maryland, retiring on June 29, 1984. Mrs. Dove was a
member of Bethel Lutheran Church and VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #2102. She was a
' 1946 graduate of Wardensville High School.
Her husband, Clyde W. Dove whom she married on June 4, 1946 in Rockville,
Maryland, preceded her in death on January 11, 1982.
Surviving are her children, Carol A. Kline and her husband Arthur D.
Kline, Jr. of Strasburg, Virginia; Gary W. Dove and his wife Karen Duncan Dove
of Winchester, Virginia, and Dennis L. Dove of Winchester, Virginia; four
grandchildren, Elizabeth Anne Phillips and her husband Jeffrey Woodson. Joette
Lynne Ours, Adam Duncan Dove and Brian William Dove; two step grandchildren,
Arthur D. Kline III, and Tina Lynn Schultz; six great grandchildren, Tyler
Christian Phillips, John Woodson Phillips, Katherine Elizabeth Phillips, Noah
Hawley Phillips, Ty Aaron Ours and Dakota Grayson Alt; four step great
grandchildren, Kelly Schultz, Kristina Schultz, Katrina Kline, Skyler Kline. One
sister, Frances Louis Shell preceded her in death on December 9, 1977.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, at Bethel
Lutheran Church, Frederick County, Virginia, with Pastor Scott Maxwell and
Pastor Rhodes Woolly officiating.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
Mrs. Dove will lie in state at Zion Lutheran Church in the Community of
Arkansaw at Baker, West Virginia, from 1:30-2:30 p.m., Saturday, July 2,2005.
A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, at 2:30 p.m. at
Zion Lutheran Church, Baker, West Virginia with Pastor Gail Bauzenberger
officiating. Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Church
Cemetery, Baker, West Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. at
Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, Winchester, Virginia.
