Wayne Leroy Lorenz, 82, Lee's Summit, Mo., passed away on Sunday May 20, 2012, at his home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 25, at the Langsford Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening, at the funeral home. Burial in the Lee's Summit Cemetery. Wayne was born Dec. 4, 1929, in Seymour, Mo., and was raised in that area. He married Wanda Irene Lorenz in 1953 and later they moved to Lee's Summit where they raised six children. He served in the US Army in the Korean War. Wayne retired from Sears as an automotive mechanic. He loved to fish, camp and was proud of his hat collection. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Lorenz and sons, Ronnie and Donnie Lorenz, parents, Seigfried and Edith Lorenz, and siblings, Oscar Lorenz and Tessie Hinds. Survivors are sons, Randy, Gary (Tyra) and Bill Lorenz and daughter, Jan Hunt, sister, Wanda (Cecil) Blankenship of Rogersville, Mo., five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
