Funeral services for Staff Sergeant Milton Rosenstein, killed in action on Leyte Island November 28, 1944, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Hebrew Aid Synagogue, Rabbi Jacob I. Nislick officiating. Burial was in the Slutsky family plot in the Hebrew Aid Cemetery, Wawarsing. Services were with full military honors by local veterans organizations. A graduate of the Ellenville High School, Sergeant Rosenstein was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Isidore Rosenstein, of Hunter, formerly of Ellenville. He was a holder of the Purple Heart and the Silver Star, awarded for gallantry in action.
