Son of Rodney and Kathy Butler Chilcott. Sam had completed ninth grade at Harbor Creek High School. He participated in basketball, football and baseball and he also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
A member of the Erie Horseshoe Club, he was the Pennsylvania State Indoor and Outdoor Champion and placed fifth in the World Horseshoe Tournament in 2003.
Sam was preceded in death by a sister, Jennifer and a brother, Andrew. Besides his parents, he is survived by a sister Emily and a twin sister, Amanda.
Cause of death: automobile accident.
