ROCKY MOUNT — Carline Leigh Batts, age 30, closed her eyes peacefully to earths sorrow and pain, to open them up in every lasting joy and peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011 at Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, N.C.
Carline lost the battle with leukemia, but she became victorious over death. Carline graduated from N.C. A&T State University in Greensboro in May 2003, she graduated cum laude with a B.S. in computer technology. She was a member of the Alumni Band and the Tau Beta Sigma Honor Society. Carline was employed at RFM Device in High Point, N.C. and is a member of New Destiny Christian Center. Those who will forever hold her dear to their hearts are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward L. Batts, sister Pam. brother Eric, two nieces and three nephews of Rocky Mount, N.C, special and devoted friends Valerie and Cheryldean of Greensboro, NC and many other family and friends.
The Wake will be held Tuesday November 1, 2011 at HD Pope funeral home, 5 p.m., until 7 p.m, 325 Nash St., Rocky Mount, N.C, 27804. The funeral will be on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 2 p.m at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 652 Raleigh Rd., Rocky Mount, N.C, 27803.
