Lillie DeBerry was daughter of Clyde Herbert DeBerry & Minnie Stroud Turner.

1st Married: Otis Clyde Rhodes who died in 20 November 1943 outside of San Marcos, Hayes county, Texas when the panel truck in which he was riding was wrecked in an accident at the railroad crossing about 3 miles east of San Marcos.

2nd Married: John A Ponder (married 05 Apr 1947; divorced on April 20, 1982 before she died in 1986 - divorce records shows no children born of this 2nd marriage).

Funeral services for Lillie Rhodes Ponder, who died on Thursday in a Victoria hospital, will be held on Saturday, June 28 at 2 p.m. at Seydler-Hill Chapel. The Rev. Glenn Howard will officiate, with interment in the City cemetery.
Mrs. Ponder was born on Mar h 22, 1902 in Dilworth to Claude Hubert and Minnie Stoud Turner DeBerry, natives respectively of Gonzales and DeWitt counties. She was married to Clyde Rhodes in 1924, and he preceded her in death in 1943. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
