ACORD, BESSIE CLEVELAND—Funeral services will be held in Payne & Sons Chapel Tuesday at 11 a.m. for Bessie Cleveland Acord, 75, of 334 Olive, who died in a Bakersfield hospital Feb. 15. Dr. Wesley J. Fair, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Acord was a native of Illinois and had lived in Kern County 10 years. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Marcy Center Circle.
Survivors include five daughters. Ruby Brown and Mary Acord of Bakersfield, Ruth Bault of San Pedro, Thelma Horstman of San Gabriel, Bernice Taylor of Iowa; a son. Howard, of Alhambra; a sister, Sybil Lavely of Iowa and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be W. L. Horstman, G. V. Brown and F. W. Bault
