Richard D. Morris, Kansas City, MO, passed away at the home on Thursday, February 21, 2002.

Richard was born in Kansas City, MO, to Floyd & Elsie Morris. He was preceded in death by his son, Rick Morris, and a brother, Jr. Morris. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Juanita of the home, and a daughter, Linda Keen of the home; a granddaughter, Kristie Keen, Belton, MO; a cousin (who was more like a sister), Betty Kennagy and her husband, Roy, of Raymore, MO; and several other cousins and a host of friends.

Richard was well known in the horse world for all his knowledge of horses. He sold horses to Culver, IN, to the military school, to Bud Walton of the Walmart family, and also sold horses for the movies. He indirectly sold a paint pony named Macaroni to Caroline Kennedy.

Richard was a Veteran of WWII as a Merchant Marine. He will be missed by so many people who knew him.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 25, at Charter Funerals/Earp & Sons Chapel, 5000 Blue Ridge Cutoff. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, at the funeral home; burial will be in Brooking Cemetery. (Arrangements: Charter Funeral Home)
