Mrs. Floyd was born on June 29, 1914 in Amherst, the daughter of the late Henry Thomas Lawhorne and Maggie Ann Staton Lawhorne.
Mrs. Floyd was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ray Floyd and two sons, Maynard Floyd and Jack Floyd.
Survivors include three children: Edith Miller of Buena Vista, Juanita Fix and Dorothy Southers, both of Lexington; 16 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and special daughter-in-law, Jeanie Floyd of Lexington.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2005 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Sebby Lee Volpe officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
