died aged 80 in her home in Conway of the grip, had been in ill health for 10 years; Mrs Emma D Sprague was her caregiver/companion was taken ill with pneumonia 2 days after Helen's death but was improving; was educated in Deerfield schools and graduated Deerfield academy; her husband Chandler was the brother of Marshall Field of Chicago; following her husband's death in 1875, she moved from the Field homestead into the village; member of Congregational church, active in church work and many years treasurer of ladies society; survivors were three sisters-in-law Mrs George Wells of Deerfield, Mrs. Helen James of Williamsburg, and Mrs Laura Giblee of Chicago and several nephews and nieces
