JOHN B. F. BACON DIES IN SANTA BARBARA

SANTA BARBARA – John B. F. Bacon of Montecito, wealthy retired businessman who lived in Pasadena for 40 years died here Monday.

Mr. Bacon, in his mid-70's was a member of the board of Wyandotte Chemical Corp. of Detroit for 25 years. He was the grandson of John Baptiste Ford, who founded the Libby-Owens Ford Co.

He retired and moved to his Montecito estate four years ago, and wasa active in community and music affairs here and in Pasadena.

He is survived by his wife Heloise; a son, John Jr.; a daughter, Mrs Heloise Power, and a sister, Mrs. George A Ford. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at the El Montecito Presbyterian Church.
