Rose Amado was an American dress designer and owner of Pattullo Modes, a high end dress shop on Madison Avenue in New York City during the 1940's. Her shop specialized in unusual evening dresses and custom made suits. Mrs. John Hay (Liz) Whitney was her first patron. Another well known American dress designer, Jo Copland, is Mrs. Amado's protegee. Rose Amado was married to Sephardic philanthropist Maurice Amado.
