Father of Lawrence A Coffey: b. 30 Mar 1875 in Ashville, North Carolina. Died 31 Oct 1961 in Norton, KS after an extended illness. He had been a resident of Topeka since 1923. He was a pioneer Kansas road builder who supervised the grading for highways in 95 of Kansas' 105 counties. He is survived by his wife Maude B AIERS Coffey; two sons Lawrence B Coffey, Kansas City and Walter J Coffey of the home; and daughter Helen Badaglialacqua of Kansas City; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
