86, of Winchester passed away on Fri., Jan. 27, 2012 at the Clark Regional Medical Center. He was born in Wadsworth, Ohio on Feb. 2, 1925 to the late J.B. and Ruth Wolverton Epperson. He served as a Navy Seabee during WWII and returned to open J.B. Epperson Furniture Store in downtown Winchester. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Rice Epperson; two sons, David (Daphna) Epperson and Harold (Patty) Epperson; two grandchildren, David Epperson II and Whitney Leigh Epperson; a brother, Charles Hughes Epperson; two sisters, Ruth Nickell and Mildred Hodson as well as a number of nephews, neices and cousins. He was proceeded in death by a brother, Harold G. Epperson and a sister, Helen Resler.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Mon., Jan 30 by Rev. James Williams. Burial will be in Clarmont Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be the Harold G. Epperson Marine Detachment. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, Sun. Jan. 29 at Scobee Funeral Home.
