Rites for Joe Mark Bower, 38, pilot of the Phillips plane which crashed near Bartlesville Wednesday killing all eight persons aboard, will be Friday at 1 pm in the First Presbyterian Church at Bartlesville.
Born in Tulsa, Bower had been with the firm seven years. He is survived by his wife, Dana; four sons, Mark, Steve, Dwight and Brad; and a daughter, Janie, all of the home. Mrs Bower is the daughter of C.R. Anthony, president of the department store chain.
Commmittal services will be Friday at 5 pm in Oklahoma City at Rose Hill Mausoleum under direction of Hahn-Cook Funeral Home. The family requests no flowers, and asks that friends desiring to show sympathy, make contributons to a Joe A. Bower Fund for the Bartlesville YMCA.
