William Curtis Abel II was born to Jaunita Mae née McCart and William C. Abel. He served as a Private in the U.S. Army in 1979. At the age of 31, he was joined in marriage to Michele J. née Gosbin, age 31, on November 4, 1991, in Kentucky. Their union produced one child. William tragically died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, while sitting inside his vehicle, outside his residence.
