Thomas, Louisa and Gilbert (James' brother) are listed in the 1850 Census in Ward, Hocking Co., Ohio, page 453A. Thomas and Louisa were married in Hocking County in 1844. In the 1860 Census they living in Denver, Richland Co., Illinois on page 161 - with Gilbert and James appearing. So this is how I connected James to Thomas and Louisa Hiles Baker. And then again in the 1870 Census living in Denver, Richland Co., Illinois, page 526A. [Note: I have Louisa in my database as a 'possible' daughter of John/Charity Hiles based on her age and the location where she married. I do not have a paper trail connecting Louisa to John/Charity them however.
