Woman Dies
LORRAINE — Mrs. Esther
G. Haggerty, 71, wife of
Lloyd Haggerty, died Tuesday
in the House of the Good
Samaritan, Watertown, where
she had been a patient two
weeks.
The funeral will be Friday
at 1 p.m. at the Piddock Funeral
Home, Adams, Rev.
Miles L. Hutchinson, pastor
of the United Methodist
Church, officiating. Burial
will be in Lyman Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral
home Thursday from 2
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Surviving are her husband;
a daughter, Mrs. Beulah
Macklen, Adams; three sisters,
Mrs. Edith Casler, Lorraine,
Mrs. Reba Johnson,
Rochester, Mrs. Ernest (Ruth)
Curtis, Williamson; a brother,
Robert Zufelt, Williamson; a
granddaughter, a grandson,
and nieces and nephews.
Born Sept. 27, 1902, at Lorraine,
a daughter of James
and Lettie Fralick Zufelt, she
attended local schools and
was married to Lloyd Haggerty
June 24, 1922, at Fairhaven.
The couple resided at
Philadelphia a short time,
and spent most of their married
life operating farms in
the Lorraine vicinity
