Queen Consort and Wife of King Magnus VI the Lawmender of Norway. She was the daughter of King Eric IV of Denmark and Jutta of Saxony. Her father was killed when she was about six years old and her mother returned to Saxony and remarried. She was promised in marriage by the Danes to Crown Prince Magnus, the son and heir of King Haakon IV of Norway. She arrived in Tongsberg Norway on 28 July 1261 and they were married on 11 September 1261 in Bergen. Magnus became king when his father died in 1263. Two of their sons would later become kings of Norway, Erik II (1280-1299) and Haakon V (1299-1319). During the reign of King Eric V of Denmark, she began privately feuding with him regarding her Danish inheritance from her father, which was never given to her. This caused hostility between Norway and the German Hanseatic cities and a tense relationship with Denmark. However, she died before the affair could be settled.
