Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel. The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, in Phoenix.
Mr. Macias was born on Sept. 24, 1947, in Gonzales, Texas, to Nancy and Paul Macias Sr. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and kept the horror of war within him. He was in and out of veterans hospitals with a liver condition and hepatitis C, which he believed came from a transfusion after he was injured in Vietnam. He was a proud veteran and enjoyed helping people.
Survivors include three sons, Colt S. Macias of Tucson, Pete Villalobos of Arizona City and Paul Macias III of Salinas, Calif.; two daughters, Nancy Poindexter of Tucson and Sylvia Calvillo of Casa Grande; his father, of Casa Grande; 6 brothers, Robert,from California Lupe from Oklahoma, Margarito Macias, and Rudy Juarez of New Mexico Angel and Seth Gonzales from Casa Grand Arizona; three sisters, Mary Juarez, Yolanda and Pauline Macias, all of California; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Nancy Macias; a brother, Ruben Macias; and a sister, Mary Martha Macias, and a infant sister Mary Ella Macias.
