J.C. was born January 31, 1928 in Westbrook, Texas to Willie Lee (Flanagan) Rich and Oscar R. Rich.
He married Melba Brown on December 16, 1949 in Mitchell County, Texas.
He worked for the Martin County Road and Bridge Department until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife Melba Rich of Lenorah; five children: Jacqueline Hagins and husband Freddy of Ft. Worth, Judith Simer and husband Gary of Big Spring, Patsy Simer and husband Larry of Stanton, Vicki Bryan and husband Jim of Stanton and Jim Rich and wife Tori of Lenorah; 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.; twin brother J.T. Rich of Colorado City; sister Lillian Berg of Tuscon, Arizona and a number of nieces and nephews.
J.C. was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 3 sisters and twin daughters.
