Carolyn Joyce O'Donnell, 68, of Fayetteville, AR (Formerly of Winamac, IN) died on November 12, 2011 at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, AR after a valiant battle with cancer.

Carolyn was born in Winamac on January 12, 1943 to Joseph Lewis and Rosemary Friend Heater. Carolyn spent her youth in Winamac and had been a cheerleader at Winamac High School. In 1963, she married her high school sweetheart, John William O'Donnell, Jr. He survives.

She received her education at the University of Chicago, Chicago, IL. She then cultivated her business savvy at the 1st Union Bank & Trust Company, Plymouth Tube, and Winamac Steel.

Carolyn & John moved to Fayetteville in 1983 with Winamac Steel. Carolyn went on to work at Superior Industries for 26 years, where she was lovingly known as "Mother Superior". Many at Superior acutally considered her a mother because of her nurturing heart. Because of her dedication to the people of Superior and her love for her job, Carolyn worked every day until the day before she entered Hospice.

This summer, Carolyn & John invited the Heater and O'Donnell families to Ft. Morgan Beach, AL for a lovely time with her that all will remember.

Carolyn loved living in Arkansas and was an avid University of Arkansas Razorback "Hogs" fan. Every Saturday during football season, Carolyn could be counted on to watch the "Hogs" (win or lose). She often watched the games with her two beloved dogs, Honey Girl & Chewbacca. She particularly enjoyed this year's victory over the Auburn University Tigers.

Survivors include:
