Dale Mason, 78 of Newbury Park , lost his battle with Parkinson's and went peacefully to be with the Lord Oct. 30, 2009 from Happy Home Care in Newbury Park. He was born on June 8, 1931, in Wichita, Kan.

Dale is survived by his wife of 56 years Joann Mason, daughters; Deanne (husband Dave) Hypes, Linda Mason, Janet Browne, Pam (husband Herb) Wheelock and Sarah Mason, grandchildren; (Sarah, Daniel (wife Stephanie), Kristen Hypes; David, Paul, and Brian Browne; and Richard, Melinda and Thomas Wheelock) great-grandchildren (Aidan and Liam Hypes); and sister Georgia Peurifoy from Houston,Texas.

Dale had 45 years in construction, retiring in 2003 from Manufacturers Bank as a Loan Construction Officer. His love for construction consisted of being an architectural draftsman, construction estimator, inspector, project manager, and administrator (commercial industrial and multi-family).

Dale lived in Ventura County for 38 years.
