Richard was an avid hunter. He also loved to fish and camp. He kept a bountiful garden every year and looked forward to canning his harvest.
He is survived by his son Nathan Richard Neil Keener of FL; grandchildren, Dylan and Emily Keener also of FL; brothers, Ricky Keener, James Keener and Joseph Keener all of Cassville; sisters Donna Marks and husband Cliff of Dilliner, PA and Cathy Brown and husband James of Route 100 Morgantown. Also surviving are his Uncle Pete and Aunt Mary Keener of Cassville and Uncle Charles Wamsley of Parsons, WV and several cousins and friends.
Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Tuesday August 30, 2011 from 3pm until time of services at 5pm with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at the Olive Cemetery, Pentress, WV.
