Emily Ann Moss was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. She married James X Gibson in Kentucky May 26 1834, lived in Putnam Co, Indiana in 1850. In 1855 their daughter Sarah married Walter Johnson and last child a son Columbus was born in Appanoose County, Iowa. By 1860 they were in Gentry Co, Missouri from there they moved to Harlan Township, Page Co. Iowa after the Civil War. James died in 1874 near Nortbboro, IA he was laid to rest in Union Grove Cemetery. Emily died in 1897 near Blanchard Iowa at 83 years age, with burial next to her husband in Union Grove Cemetery. Emily the mother of 10 children, Celia Jane (Smith)(1835-1914), Sarah Branning (Johnson)(1836) William F.M. (1939-1892), Armilda Elizabeth (Smith)(1840-1870), Amanda Ellen (Conner)(1843-1919) George W (1846-1864), James M (1848-1895), Emily A (1850-1855) John Westley (1852-1921), Columbus T (1855-1927)
