Death of Col. Hamilton L. Alexander

Col. Hamilton L. Alexander, a brother of Capt. Syd B. Alexander, of this county, died of paralysis in Raleigh yesterday. Col. Alexander is well-known in this city and county, where he has many friends and admirers who will be pained to hear of his death. The deceased was 58 years old. His remains will be brought to Charlotte for burial.

The funeral of Col. Hamilton L. Alexander, which took place from the residence of Miss Sophie Alexander, at noon. Dr. Miller preached the funeral sermon, and quite a number of friends followed the remains to the grave in Elmwood. As noted in yesterday's OBSERVER, Colonel Alexander died of paralysis in Raleigh, on the 5th. He was a brother of Capt. Syd B. Alexander.
