UPDATE: Nov 2012 After photographing a 'newer' stone for him I wonder about his dates. Even doing online research his dates vary. Does anyone have correct dates on him?
He was born in Columbus, North Carolina or Gainsville, Georgia. He died in Kingston, AR. He was married to Elizabeth Redmon. Son of Thomas Norris and Elizabeth Warren Norris. He was my husband's 4th great grandpa.
UPDATED MAY 2015: Information from Linda Bock she wrote the below: His grand daughter Julia M. Norris Grigg, daughter of John J. Norris, wrote a letter to family dated March 23, 1890...in it she has written one line that says "grandfather Norris died the 22 day of August." That would make his death date..Aug. 22, 1889.. This is the only data I have to prove his death date. Hope that helps. Linda
