MSG Alvin William Hall, 70, of Ringgold, GA, died on Thursday, October 6, 2011, in a local hospital.

He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga, TN and North Georgia areas. Mr. Hall attended Covenant Life Church for the past seven years. He was retired from the U.S. Army after 28 years of service, having served three tours of duty in Vietnam.

Mr. Hall was preceded in death by parents, Cecil and Lillie Hall; brothers, Junior, Troy, Jessie, and Franklin Hall; sister, Essie Pell.

Survivors are his wife, Veta Hall; two sons, Paul Hall and Leland Hall; daughters, Latesha Hall, Essie Brown, and Merissa Bland; brothers, Albert, Jackie, Marshall and Roy Hall; sisters, Patricia Evans and Estill Pittman; grandchildren, Cassidy Pell, Skylar Bland, Logan Brown, Hunter and Donovan Scott, Gunnar and Caleyn Eldridge; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jamie chant officiating.

Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2011 2-8 p.m. on Sunday, October 9, 2011 and 4-8 p.m. on Monday at Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway, Fort Oglethrope, GA.
