George Edward (Buddy) Miller was born in Odessa, Texas to Floyd Jackson "F.J." & Ella Mae (Sharp) Miller on January 29, 1934. His twin brother did not survive childbirth. Bud, grew up around west Texas and southern Oklahoma where the major oil fields and W.P.A. dam, bridge, and pipeline projects offered F.J. high stress pipe welding work. The F.J. Miller's eventually settled in Denton, Texas. Buddy Miller graduated from Denton High School in 1952. By 1953 he was in the Army for the next 30 years. The latter 15 years being in the Texas Army National Guard. Bud met fellow N.T.S.U. student Gretchen Anderson in Denton, Texas. They married October 26, 1957 in Dallas, Texas. Together they had Georgann in 1958 and Bob in 1961. Bud retired from the Army as a First Sergeant in 1983. He was a precision machinist and a precision tool salesman for the Brown & Sharpe Corporation for over 20 years. He was a licensed pilot and dearly loved Golfing. Bud & Gretchen Miller enjoyed 37 years of marriage before his death in 1994. He was 60 years old.

Bud was preceded in death By his Sister Jackie Clement of Irving, Texas. His mother Ella Mae Miller, and his Father F.J. Miller both of Denton, Texas. Bud is survived by his wife Gretchen, his children Georgann Underwood and Bob Miller. And his brother Bunky Miller, of Denton, Texas.
