HARVEYVILLE- Alpharetta May Dachenhausen, 91, of Harveyville, formerly of Holton, KS passed away September 15, 2011 at her son's home. She was born November 8, 1919 in Topeka, KS the daughter of Ira Leslie and Rosa Catherina (Moriss) Hollenbeck.

She had lived in the Holton area most of her life and had also lived in Bella Vista for 5 years and in Topeka for 3 years. She was a housewife/homemaker and a member of the Jehovah's Witness Church.

Alpharetta married Charles Dachenhausen on April 9, 1940 in Lyndon, KS. He preceded her in death on December 7, 1967. She was also preceded by two sisters, Ellen Bryan and Maxine Frazier and two brothers, Charles and James Hollenbeck.

Survivors include three sons, Ronald Gene Dachenhausen of Chapman, KS, Philip Grant Dachenhausen of Sun City, AZ and Wendell Lee Dachenhausen of Harveyville, KS; a daughter, Rebecca E. Linn of Bella Vista, AR; a sister, Doris Hall of Holton, KS; a brother, Ralph Eugene Hollenbeck of Brush, CO; twelve grandchildren and manys great grandchildren.
