Mrs. Edith Madore Young, 76, of 105 South Lee Street, died suddenly Monday at her residence.
A life-long resident of this city, she was born here December 2, 1894, a daughter of the late L. Clark and Lavinia (Heintz) Madore. Her husband, Robert Wellington Young, died March 24, 1958.
Mrs. Young was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Women's Society of Christian Service, teacher in the Adult Women's Bible Class, member of the Council of Church Women United; Women's Civic Club of Cumberland and North Branch Homemakers Club.
She was a graduate of Frostburg State Normal School, Class of 1913.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. A. Ridgeley (Thelma) Friedel, North Ridge, Calif., four grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
The body is at the Scarpelli Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
