Berna R. Morelock Sr., 72, Cumberland, died Sunday in Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital after a long illness.
He was a member of F&AM 229, Stevenson RAM Chapter, Big Stone Gap; Commandry 21 Knights Templar, Olieka Temple and Harlan County Shrine.
Services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Cumberland Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Glenco Cemetery, Big Stone Gap with the Rev. Joe Bill Brown officiating.
In addition to his wife, Myrtle, he is survived by three children, Berna Jr., Texas; Ruth Schubert, Sheila Creech, Indiana, eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Also surviving are two brothers, Jack and John of Ohio, and three sisters, Sylvia Lockhart, Pearl Naper, Ohio, and Elsie Newkirik, Indiana.
Pallbearers will be Bob Yaden, Earl Boggs, Bob Morris, John D. Creech, Billy C. Creech and James McArthur.
The family will receive friends today from 7 until 9 p.m. in the chapel of Tri-City Funeral Home.
