Alvan H. Beall Jr. On August 13, Alvan H. Beall Jr., 79, was called home to his maker.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Corinne Beall. Devoted father of Van Beall and his spouse Willa Brooks, Terry Beall, Cynthia Beall-Kuhlmann and her husband Howard Kuhlmann, and Pamela Kern and her husband Brian Kern.
Loving grandfather to Alicia, Nelson, TJ, Chris, Nicole, James, Daniela, Tom, Kevin, Michael, Daniel and Jessica. New great-grandfather to Addy.
Son of Olive and Homer Beall (deceased) and brother of Barbara Hill (deceased). Caring uncle and cousin to many and friend to all. A life-long San Francisco resident, he graduated from Lowell HS in 1946, served honorably in the US Army during the Korean War, and graduated from City College and San Francisco State. Employed by Matson Navigation for 30+ years.
Long-time scouter, member of the San Francisco Men's Symphony Chorus, the Bohemian Club, and Temple United Methodist Church. Friends may visit Monday, August 18 from 4-9pm and are invited to attend the Vigil Service Monday at 7pm at DUGGAN'S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City.
The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 19 at 1pm also at DUGGAN'S SERRA MORTUARY. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Temple United Methodist Church, 1111 Junipero Serra Blvd., SF 94132; American Heart Assoc. or a charity of your choice.
