J. Florian Cox.
J. Florian Cox, 50 years old, a nephew of Florian Cox, connected with the income tax department of Collecctor Scott Mayes' office, died yesterday in New Orleans after a short illness. Mr. Cox was vice president of the Inter-State Trust & Banking Company of New Orleans and was prominently known in banking circles in all parts of the country. He was recently taken ill while in New York City, while attending the bankers' convention there.
Mr. Coc was a native of Owenton, Ky., and is well known in the State, having been connected with several banking institutions in different cities of Kentucky. The body will be brought to Owenton for burial.
