Wilda was a noted painter/print artist. She first married Martin William Peck, a physician and son of Roswell K. Peck and Ada N. Pettengill of Montplier, Vermont on June 7, 1913 at Boston, Suffolk County, Mass. They divorced c. 1925. By 1930, she was married to Joseph William MacKenzie from Fall River, Mass., just a few miles from Tiverton, R.I. where they were living on the 1930 census. By 1933, they had moved to Washington, D.C. where Wilda was active in art circles with membership in the Arts Club, Society of Print Makers, Washington Water Color Association and the Rehoboth Art League. She was a graduate of Simmons College of Boston and worked there later as an instructor. She is listed as a faulty member teaching sociology in 1924. Also, she worked as a librarian at the Boston Atheneaum and in 1910, worked at the Cleveland Public Library as an assistant librarian before she moved to Boston. She was survived by her daughter, Wilda (Peck) Bennett of Bethesda, Maryland and four grandchildren, Martin J. Bennett, Elizabeth C. Bennett, James V. Bennett, II, Bruce MacKenzie Bennett. Her parents were Hamilton Frederick Strong and Clara Matilda (Stoll) Strong.
