Pākī was the son of Kalanihelemaiiluna (k) and Kawao (w).

Kalanihelemaiiluna was the son of Kamehamehanui (Aliʻinui/Mōʻī of Maui) and Kekumano and Kawao's direct line leads back to Keaweikekahialiiokamoku.

"Kamehamehanui k noho ia Kekumano w, loaa o Kalanihelemaiiluna k. 13. Kalanihelemaiiluna k noho ia Kawao w, loaa o Paki k. 14. Paki k noho ia Konia w, loaa o Bernice Pauahi w."

In the book "Honolulu Directory and Historical Sketch" by C.C. Bennet, the author uses the name Ka- hooheiheipahu in 1891 instead of Kawao however, in 1877 Abraham Fornander had already published An Account of the Polynesian Race where, on page 155, he identifies Kamehamehanui's sister as Kuhooheiheipahu and on page 213 he goes on to state that;

"There was another daughter of Kekualike and Kekuʻiapoiwanui on the genealogy named Kuhooheiheipahu, but she is not further referred to and probably died young"
