Westcott William Reed died at his home. His funeral was held on January 18 at Central Park Baptist Church, Decatur, Alabama, with burial at Roselawn Cemetery. Mr. Reed was born in Bessemer, Alabama, to Edgar William Reed and Lula Wright Reed. He was a graduate of Bessemer High School Class of 1964 and a member of the B Club, and of the University of Montevallo where he was a member of the Sigma Club. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving Korea. He was a member of Central Park Baptist Church, past president of the Decatur Kiwanis Club, and General Agent for Stovall-Marks Insurance of Decatur. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law William Westcott and April Reed of Decatur, Daughters Monica Reed Albers of Houston, Texas, and Elizabeth Reed of Suwanee, Georgia, sisters Dottie Cosper of Panama City, Florida, Gail Damron of Suwanee, Georgia, and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Steve Britnell, David Damron, Steve Stovall, Gerald Marks and Phil McGregor. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Sigma Club Fraternity.
