Private Service At Clay City For Clara R. Sheer, 76
Clara Rosa Sheer, 76 years old, Clay City, died Wednesday, February 12, in the Clay County Hospital at Brazil. She had been in the Holly Hills Health Care Center in Brazil.
She was born in Harrison Township, Clay County, Indiana July 26, 1909. Her parents were Benjamin Franklin Turley and Mishie Moyer Turley.
She was a member of the Clay City Free Methodist Church.
Her husband, Floyd I. Sheer, preceded her in death in 1962.
She is survived by her sisters, Ruth Smith of Dayton Beach, Florida, Rettie Duling of Farmersburg, Doris Spore of Terre Haute, Freda Wilcut of Shelburn and Nellie Ring of Anderson; and her brothers, Sylvester Turley of Sullivan and Harold Turley of Brooksville, Florida.
Private services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 14, at the Schoppenhorst Funeral Home in Clay City. The Rev. Ted Malone will officiate.
Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery at Clay City.
There will be no calling hours at the funeral home in accordance with a request which had been made by Mrs. Sheer.
