Funeral rites were held last Thursday afternoon at the Pleasant Bethel Church for Fred O. Everhart, 76 years old, of Worthington R.R. 1, who died Monday at the Barton Nursing Home in Indianapolis, following an illness of about two years.
Mr. Everhart served at one time as Commissioner of Owen County.
He was born in Jefferson township, Owen County, August 9, 1889 a son of William S. and Eapha Sheer Everhart, and was a member of the Pleasant Bethel Methodist Church, where final rites were held. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.
Survivors include the widow, Jennie Byerly Everhart; three sons, Robert L. of Worthington R.R. 1, Arthur S. and Orral B., both of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. One brother and one sister preceded him in death.
