Elaine Ingersoll-Chester
COTTAGE GROVE — A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 22, at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove for Elaine L. Ingersoll-Chester of Cottage Grove, who died April 13 of congestive heart failure. She was 79.
She was born March 19, 1932, in San Luis Obispo, Calif., to Howard and Cleo Arno Ingersoll. She married Raymond Chester on June 17, 1950, in Sutherlin.
She attended school in Middletown, Calif., Paso Robles, Calif., and Sutherlin. She earned her dental nursing degree in San Francisco. She worked as a bookkeeper for the family welding business in Minden, Nev.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Diane Berg of Carson City, Nev.; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Two daughters, Cathy Wise and Debbie Beccard, died previously.
Remembrances to Association for Scriptural Knowledge in Portland or the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
