Note from Rob, President, Vine Lake Preservation Trust: Hello Glenn, Medfield's cemetery, which dates from 1651, was first known as the burying ground and later as Vine Lake Cemetery. I have never heard of it referenced as The Old Town Cemetery. I fully expect Thomas Adams is buried there in an unmarked grave, joining hundreds in the same category. Buried in Lot 246 are his wife Elizabeth (Grave 1), his son John Wickliff Adams (Grave 2), Amy Ballou Adams (Grave 3), Mary Ann Adams and James Munroe Adams (Grave 4), John J. Adams (Grave 5). Elizabeth is the only person buried in the cemetery with two slate gravestones, both different.

Thomas Adams is my 6th cousin eight times removed.
