Well-Known Local Woman, Long Ill of Heart Trouble, Succumbs to Pneumonia.
Mrs. Clayton B. Moore, 74, died yesterday afternoon at 3:25 o'clock at her home at 2125 1-2 Floral avenue, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Moore had been ill with heart trouble for three years, but pneumonia was the immediate cause of her death.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4 o'clock this afternoon at the home by Dr. Luther Little, pastor of First Baptist church. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be A. R. Long, J. J. Hutchison, H. W. McDowell, T. V. Howell of Peachland, Will C. Kendrick, J. C. Harmon, John A. McRae, and W. H. Williams. The honorary pallbearers will be J. W. Zimmerman, W. H. Twitty, R. A. Dunn, T. S. Vann, Dr. L. B. Newell, Jake Shuman, Charles A. Williams, G. D. Moody, and J. W. Jones of Peachland.
Mrs. Wilma Lockhart Moore was born May 16, 1862, at White's Store in Anson county. She married Mr. Moore October 4, 1882, and they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary four years ago.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband; one daughter, Miss Wilma A. Moore; three sons, Morris Moore of South Bay, Fla., Graham d. and Henry A. Moore; and one brother, R. Vernon Lockhart of Monroe.
