Civil marker birth year says 1895 which is supported by all of the records.

William E., born Sept 1895, is age 4 for the 1900 census taken 18 June 1900 where his father is a coal miner renting a house in the north half of rural VanBuren Township, Clay County, IN. By 1910 Joshua has purchased a farm in Van Buren Township.

IN, to Charles Craig, a Farmer at Carbon, IN, and Ida Lawson, natives of Indiana); first marriage for both residing at Carbon, IN; were married 25 August 1819 by George E. Law, J.P.

Earl W. McQueen, 72, died at 11:15 a.m. Monday in St. Anthony Hospital, Terre Haute. A retired employee of the Kalamazoo Clay Co. at Carbon, he was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Mary Margaret Pine, Terre Haute; a son Robert E. RR 1, Brazil; two sisters, Mrs. Hila Ottieri, Youngstown, Ohio, and Mrs. Grace Soyke, Carbon, and two grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Lawson Funeral Home, Brazil, with the Rev. Joseph Britton officiating. Burial will be in Calcutta Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday.
