KINGSPORT — Elige H. Allen, 68, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday afternoon, March 9, 2011, at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport.
A native and life long resident of Sullivan County, he was a son of the late Henry James Allen and the late Ruby Edith Lane Allen. He was retired in 1976 from Shewood Chevrolet in Johnson City after fourteen years of services in new and used auto sales. Elige was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Allen.
Survivors include his two daughters, Angela Allen Martin & husband, Dwayne, of Gray, TN, and Andrea Dawn Pruitt, of Carlsbad, CA; four grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth Heinze, of Florida, and Judy Allen, of No. Carolina; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will have a graveside service at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2011, at Oak Hill Memorial Park, Kingsport, with Dr. Jody Jenkins and Rev. Gary Seaman officiating.
